About Povoa

Povoa is a Paris-based French electronic artist, producer, and DJ whose music sits between raw club energy, playful experimentation, and left-field pop.

His solo productions move freely through baile funk, dubstep, house, hyperpop, breaks, bass, and other dancefloor mutations without settling into a single genre. Releases have appeared on Live From Earth, 99CTS RCRDS, Pretty Weird, Kneaded Pains, Moshi Moshi, Southern Fried Records, Cocoon Recordings, Halfpipe Records, and Antinote, with support from selectors including Four Tet and Ben UFO, Chloé Robinson, DJ ADHD, and TSHA.

Povoa is also a member of the Franco-Brazilian project PPJ with Páula. The collaboration connects Brazilian musical traditions with European and UK club music, while his solo work leaves more room for unpredictable production, humour, and experiments designed to work both in headphones and on a sound system.

Recent releases include the four-track Clammy EP on Live From Earth, the NPT EP on 99CTS RCRDS, and Mete on Halfpipe Records. The official video for Beat Bunny, a collaboration with Madge directed by Tanner K Williams, won Best Music Video and Best Performer at the 2026 Berlin Music Video Awards and received Craft Gold for Music Video at the 2026 British Arrows.
